While the beginning of 21st century demonstrated emergence various distinctive styles Sufism, existing studies Sufi practice and discourse in countries across world illustrate how social modern forms techniques are now among conditions possibility for a great many movements that concerned to extend Islamic tradition, traditions piety. Yet, scholarship represents relatively little known area leadership tradition as well role shaykh mediating agent Muslim societies. Fulfilling this scientific gap, paper is aimed at examining ways which we could better understand production their authorities post-modern In doing so, gives ample emphasis on theoretical discussion about mystical Islam, such influence played by society, with particular case study Naqshbandiyah West Sumatra, Indonesia. This reveals important dimension shaykhs ideal Prophet spiritual masters, within regional form or today, enable Muslims pursue path conflicting situations pressure life.
